Mentor Matching Night gives NEXT participants an opportunity to meet prospective mentors before final mentor pairings are made. Following brief opening remarks, participants will each host their own Zoom room, and mentors will rotate between rooms based on the participants who have expressed interest in connecting with them.
Each conversation will last approximately five minutes, giving participants and mentors a chance to introduce themselves, discuss interests and goals, and get an initial sense of fit. Participants may meet with several prospective mentors throughout the evening.
The goal is not to make a final decision during the event, but to create meaningful first connections that will help inform the mentor-matching process and lead to strong, mutually valuable pairings for the NEXT program.
