About Event
Musly × Shezi Sardar | Actor in Marvel's The Punisher and Law & Order, Commercial Lawyer in Tech | 19th November | New York

Members will gather for an intimate evening centred on the two lives of one storyteller: commercial lawyer by day, working actor across Marvel's The Punisher, Law & Order and network series for CBS and NBC.

Bringing together founders, creatives and cultural figures, the evening will create space for conversation on representation, identity, and what it means to write yourself into rooms that were not built with you in mind.

The evening will open with a private members' dinner, followed by a fireside conversation and Q&A from approximately 7:30 pm.

About Shezi Sardar
Shezi Sardar is an actor and writer who has appeared in Marvel's The Punisher, Law & Order and network series for CBS and NBC, alongside a career as a commercial lawyer in tech. Committed to storytelling as an art, and to claiming space and identity for Muslim communities, he is currently writing a feature film and an episodic limited series centring Muslim and South Asian characters.

This evening's conversation moves from the courtroom to the writers' room. Between two demanding careers, Shezi has chosen to keep building both, and is now writing the stories he once had to fight to be cast in.

Topics on the table include:

• Building two careers at once, and the moment storytelling became the one he would not give up
• What claiming space and identity actually looks like day to day, as a Muslim actor and lawyer navigating the current climate
• The shift from representation as something to push against to something he can now shape
• Writing the room instead of being cast in it, and what most productions still get wrong about Muslim and South Asian stories
• What he is protecting as he builds this next chapter, and what he tells the next generation of creatives trying to claim their own space
